Natalie and Brett joined Room2Rent in 2020, with the support of their daughters (and grand-kids…..). They love Auckland – and it’s people. Having now delivered many many cabins they know what a huge difference they make to families. A portable transportable cabin can instantly provide another bedroom or (increasingly) an office to work from home. Nat and Brett pride themselves on their industry experience and are committed to delivering an efficient and friendly service every time. They are also optimists – apparently this is the Warrior’s year.

We understand that sometimes our homes just aren’t big enough for all the people we need to fit in, or all the things we need to do.  Building an extra room is expensive and time consuming.  A simpler/smarter solution is to rent the extra space you need.  We can tow a portable cabin to your place and set it up ready for you to immediately use and enjoy.  Our cabins are ideal if you need extra space for family or home office or business. 

To make it as easy as possible for you our portable cabins are delivered ready for you to move straight in – fully insulated with quality carpet and curtains, two double power points, internal and exterior lights.  They come with an Electrical WOF, a switchboard and smoke alarm for your safety and protection.  We also provide a step, and a 20 metre power lead which you can plug into a normal three pin household socket. 

The bond is $150, and there is usually no fee for standard delivery and installation.  We are WINZ approved.

Extra room at your place

Our cabins arrive empty ready for you to create your home office, bedroom or hangout space – the options are endless! They come in three sizes.

As working from home has become more commonplace our portable home office cabins provide a comfortable, easy to manage solution that’s a lot better than working from the dining room table. Setting up a home office space has never been easier and is a very popular way to use our cabins.

Standard Cabins

3.6m long x 2.4m wide x 2.4m high
$85 per week* (incl GST)
Standard cabins are big enough for a Queen size bed, a chest of drawers and a desk. They make an excellent office, nail or beauty studio.

Large Cabins

4.2m long x 2.4m wide x 2.4m high
$95 per week* (incl GST)

Large cabins easily fit a Queen/King bed, chest of drawers and study desk. They are a great option for a couple or someone who wants to stretch out that little bit more with some more chill out space for extra seating. Need the kids to be in here together? Fit in a couple of single beds with space to spare!

Extra Large Cabins

4.8m long x 2.4m wide x 2.4m high
$120 per week* (incl GST)

Extra Large cabins have the same feature as the large cabin, just with a little more room for extra furniture. The whole family can fit in this one with room for a queen size bed and a couple of single beds plus chest of drawers. It would make a great office for multiple staff members, with many desk configurations possible in this great space.
